Anna turns 2!! So these pics are a little out of order, but that's a bit of an indication of our life!

Anna loved all her presents, but is especially partial to dolls right now. She carries them everywhere and when there is a thunderstorm, she says, "Don't worry dolly, it's just a boomer. I promise. It's okay."

Mmmm mmmm, cookie cake is delicious!!! Like mother like daughter!!

Anna actually saw this tricylce at my parent's house a few days before the party. She kept sneaking back into their bedroom looking for it. When we asked her what she was doing she would say, "Where did the bike go?"

This is the best we could do. Maybe eventually we'll get a good family picture where everyone is smiling at the same time!

Carter loves to scream and has the loudest voice you've ever hear. The other day Anna said to him, "Carter that's way too loud!"

"What a show-off! She loves her head towel and we have about 20 of these pictures where is making a different pose.

Finally getting website updated! Since I last updated, we've had lots of things happening: 4th of July, Anna's birthday, a trip to Colorado with my parents (Scott had to work), and lots of fun times at home. These pictures are a bit jumbled with the timeline, and actually I'm missing her birthday, but I'll get those added soon.

Storytime

Hiking in Colorado...I didn't carry both of them. Anna walked around the lake!

We took her on a bike ride and she fell asleep in the carrier. Very unlike her!

4th of July parade in our neighborhood. Carter didn't make the wagon but he will next year.

Carter is a very smiley boy

Enjoying some water at Cheesecake Factory...aren't I a big girl?? :-)

Carter's Baptism

Things went great today and thanks so much to everyone for spending Father's Day with us. As we said, we didn't plan it that way, but it worked out pretty well. The kids were both great, although Anna was pretty wild at church. Her cousin Drew was much better behaved, but we couldn't really devote our attention to disciplining her since we had to worry about Carter too. Oh well, we tried! :-) Anna was so happy to have Drew there today so that was fun. Carter was an angel and did great at church and was awake and looking alert for all the pictures so we couldn't have asked for more. Thanks again everyone!!

A picture of the our family with the Carter's Godparents. Uncle Mark is the Godfather and my cousin Elizabeth is the Godmother. Thanks to you both for being her for his special day!

Anna was a little show-off today!!

Greetings from the Mullen family of four! Carter is now 7 weeks old and growing so fast. He's a great little eater that's for sure! He still isn't sleeping longer than 3-4 hours at a time maximum at night, and has started to be pretty cranky in the evenings, but is still a great baby overall and we're so grateful. Anna really loves to pester "Baby Carter" and play This little piggy on his toes. We went to Wichita for Stacy's graduation last weekend and both kids were really great and Anna enjoyed a few days in Wichita after the graduation. Overall, things are going great and we're settling down into our family with 2 kids (yikes!! :-))

Carter loves his swing!
Anna loves to pester anyone who is holding Baby Carter

Look at those boobies!!
Again, pestering and playing "This Little Piggy"
Trent and Anna playing the piano in Wichita...they had a blast and are new BFFs!
This shows Carter's trip to Wichita. He was konked the entire day, even though at home he won't sleep longer than 45 minutes at at time during the day!

Anna enjoying a pickle...she's quite a character!!

Here are a few more pictures of our little family. Things are still going well although he isn't sleeping as well as he was originally. He's still very sweet and Anna really adores him.

Carter Michael Mullen
We have our new little guy! He arrived Tuesday, April 6th at 9:13 am and weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces! We were surprised by how big he was! So far he's been a very good baby and we're so thrilled. The first 2 nights were rough because he was so hungry, but things are better now and he's sleeping great. Anna loves him so much! Every morning she wakes up and says, "Carter?" and starts looking for him. She loves to pick imaginary hair off his outfits and says, "Baby messy." She's a bit of a pest while I feed him, but overall we're thrilled by how well things have gone so far. We're hoping things will continue to go this well. I'm too tired to do a good blog, so I just posted a bunch of good pictures.

Disneyworld!

We did it!! Scott and Anna rode on the plane by themselves on the way home while I stayed for my work trip and they made it without any problems! My back didn't hurt too bad and Anna had a blast. This first pic is the epitome of our trip!!

First we went to Sea World. This is Anna watching the Shamu show. As you can tell, she really enjoyed it, but luckily we were a week before the terrible accident there!

Anna is chilling in her glasses. She wouldn't let us take them off in fact. She also enjoyed the penguin show and watching it with Daddy.

The only problem with Florida is that is was terribly cold! We didn't have her dressed warmly enough because we didn't bring enough clothes. The morning we got to Disney, she was freezing! To demonstrate, we took 2 pics...the first one was in the morning and she was absolutely freezing and miserable! But it warmed up throughout the day and as you can tell, she was much happier at night when she finally warmed up!

Morning=Sad Night = Happy!!

These were the 2 favorite rides...Dumbo and the Carousel. Luckily there is a carousel at Oak Park Mall! One night in the middle of the night we heard her in the bed laughing and saying, "Dumbo". I don't think she got much sleep that night, but she managed just fine!

Family pic in front of castle

We actually went back to Disney after naptime and she had a blast again, but as you can see she didn't last long...check out the BIG yawn....
